Av: Espen Sjetne

Formspiller nummer èn svarer på spørsmål fra fansen.

Firstly, congratulations on your return to form. My question is, how do you find the strength and confidence to return to form after being subjected to some so-called fan´s frustrations in recent games when a lot of footballers would have looked for the easiest way out? Good luck for the rest of the season. (Mark Warburton, Rossendale)

I´ve always been confident in my ability. It helps when we´ve been playing well and winning games.

Do you practice free-kicks after training to perfect your technique and who is the second best free-kick taker in the squad - after yourself of course! (Richard Horrocks, Brisbane, Australia)

I try to practice free-kicks when I´ve got time and I´ve been doing it a bit more often recently. We always go through set pieces in training and it´s always good to try and gain any advantage you can. The better you are, the better chance you have to score. People who play in wide positions are usually good at getting a lot of whip on the ball. I think Brett´s free-kick against Aston Villa last season was pretty good.

Who is the best player you have ever played with and against? (Charlie Hedge)

Tugay when I first came. His vision to see your runs and play the right passes made it a dream to play on the wing. I don´t really think much about opposing players, because all games are different and I feel I can get the better of anyone on my day. One occasion that does stick out was a first half against Chelsea, when Juliano Belletti controlled everything.

You´ve scored a lot of spectacular and important goals for the club, including against Fulham and Manchester United, and last year your only goal of the campaign helped save us from relegation. This year we´ve seen some contenders for goal of the season from you. Which one goal stands out as your favourite? (Alice Duffield, Kent)

I think my goal against Wigan is my favourite so far this year, because I was under pressure to hit it first time, although my free-kick against Peterborough was also pretty nice. During my Rovers career, I think the winner at Old Trafford meant the most and gave me the best feeling, but I wouldn´t say no to another volley against Fulham one more time!

Hi Morten, I´m a big fan of yours and I´m very pleased you are in good form. I hope you will remain with Rovers. My question is, how did you become a two-footed footballer? (Tomokazu, Fukui, Japan)

I´ve always used both legs. I was right-footed up until I was 14 or 15, but I always practiced with both. I used to take inswinging corners from the right with my left foot and inswinging corners from the left with my right foot. My left is more dominant now, but I can still use my right!

What aspect of your game do you work hardest at? And what do you feel comes easiest? (Liam Goss, Riverside Stand)

You always want to be a better finisher. And it´s important to work hard physically, to make sure you keep yourself fit. What comes easiest - I think just striking the ball, because you are always kicking a ball every day. But you can always be better at everything.

Do you feel more comfortable in centre midfield or out on the wing? (Steve Rose)

Both positions are fun to play. I´ve been playing a little bit more in the centre recently, which has been fun and we´ve been doing well, but I can still play on the wing. My best games have probably come on the wing, because I´ve played there more often. All I want to do is play and do well.

Why do you think you haven´t scored so many goals over the few last seasons? (Martin Janata, Czech Republic)

There are many reasons. Things change, I think I´ve been a bit unlucky, my form has been a bit up and down, I´ve hit the post. Sometimes it´s a matter of inches, but it´s more fun to play when those inches are with you.

Hi Morten, you´re one of my favourite players of all time. What´s it like playing for Blackburn Rovers and how does it compare to other clubs you´ve played for? (Charlotte Reynolds)

Blackburn Rovers is the biggest club I´ve played for. I´d only played in Norway before I came here and that was for one of the smaller teams in the Norwegian top flight, but we did well. Blackburn is a family club. The people are friendly and they take good care of you.

Morten, it´s such a pleasure to see you playing like you used to! My question is, which of the youngsters that are in the reserves or Academy, do you think will excite the Premier League in the future? (Rikin Kukalia)

Probably Phil Jones, because he has done very well this season.

Gamst har tro på Phil Jones.

What is the best goal you have ever scored and why? (Luke Briggs, Accrington and Charlotte Birkett, Chorley)

It´s hard to say, because you could score a good goal or an important goal. Either my one at Old Trafford, because Blackburn hadn´t won there for about 50 years or a volley I scored for the national team against Hungary. Scoring is the most important thing and it´s always special when you do.

Morten, I am a massive fan and must point out that your recent performances have been outstanding. Just wondered what you enjoyed doing in your spare time and who your close friends are in football? (Michael Irwin, Seaham)

I like to go out and eat, watch films and spend time with friends. Just normal things really. It´s important to try and relax and save energy in between games. Lars Jacobsen is probably my closest friend in the squad. We´re both Scandinavian and so have a lot to talk about, but there are a lot of good people here. It´s also important to have friends outside of football, so that you can get away from it all and rest your mind.

Who was your idol when you were younger and which team did you support when you were growing up? (Eve Summersgill, Mellor)

Marco van Basten was my idol. When I was growing up, I used to support teams that had Norwegian players playing for them, like Manchester United. I also followed the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham.

If you could have any player brought in to play at the club who would it be? (Stacey Gill, Blackburn)

Andres Iniesta of Barcelona. His passing ability is unbelievable.

Who is the biggest joker at the club and have you ever been unfortunate enough to have a joke played on you? And where is your favourite place to go on holiday? (Hannah, Blackburn)

We´ve got a few. Dunny loves to talk. And the treatment room is where it usually goes down. There´s a good atmosphere in there and if you go in there, you´ll definitely hear some banter. Jokes are always being played and I think there´s something wrong if you haven´t been on the end of one. My favourite holiday destination would probably be back home to see friends and family - or just somewhere to get some sun!

What do you think about the two new signings Big Sam has brought in? (Adam Earnshaw, Great Harwood)

I obviously know Basturk from his time with Turkey and in the Bundesliga. He´s been doing well in training and I think he will be a good addition to the squad. Amine is obviously a young lad and one for the future, but he looks good.

Do you believe in superstitions and if so, do you believe you play better as Pedersen or as Gamst? (Neil Dunn, Haslingden)

Most players have superstitions, but some things are just automatic - like putting my left boot and shin pad on first. Whether I´ve got Gamst or Pedersen on my back, I´m still the same person.

Hi Morten, out of the current squad, who has the worst/best taste in music and who has control of the stereo in the dressing room? (Arran Ramsbottom)

I think Browny (Jason Brown) has probably got the best and Franco (Di Santo) has got the worst. Dioufy tends to be in charge of the stereo and always puts Akon on.

What is your favourite movie and do you watch many Norwegian films? (Richard Manning)

Gladiator is one of the best films I´ve watched. Definitely in my top three. I watch some Norwegian films. They´re getting better and there are a few good ones around.

Which season do you think has been your best for Rovers? (Stefano Lee, Seoul, South Korea)

I think the 2005-06 season when I scored 11 goals, including the two at Old Trafford.
